Congratulations for joining the Artrepreneur Community. Now that you have an account let's get you up and running quickly. Here are a few quick steps to get you started.
1. Upload work
Before uploading any artwork to Artrepreneur, we suggest reviewing the Image Upload Guidelines. Then, go to your Manage/Sell Art Area. Click the "Add Work" Button and follow the wizard. When uploading your work, you will be asked to choose a category and subcategory for that work or group of works. Miscategorized works may be removed at our discretion.
Artrepreneur supports uploading files from
- Google Drive,
- One Drive
- or your computer drive
Artrepreneur is a place to show-off self curated work. For this reason we have limited Basic Tier Accounts to 250 works and Pro Tier Accounts to 1000 works.
2. Fill in art details
From your Manage/Sell Art Area, click on any work to see its art detail page. Click the "edit" button to edit the details.
You can add the following information:
- Category / Subcategory
- Material and Tools Used
- Copyright information
- Creation Date
You can also customize the URL for each work and add the work to the Artrepreneur Marketplace. (For more on the Marketplace, see our Marketplace Rules.)
The more detail you can provide for each work, the more likely your work will be discovered by our members and on public search engines, like Google. (See Why is it important to add details to my artwork?).
3. Update your resume details
Go to the edit profile/resume area.
This is where you tell your story. It’s not easy to write about yourself or your work as an artist. Yet, we all know people like stories. The more interesting the story, the more time people will spend reading, listening to or watching them. It’s no different when viewing your resume. The story will get them intrigued and wanting to know more.
Add Summary Information
Start with the summary section paying particualr attention to your personal summary / artists' statement Make it interesting and memorable. You can also add links to social media sites or your own website, list important creative skills and customize your profile URL.
Add Creative Highlights
Here's where you can go deeper. Add the most important aspects of your creative career, including work experience, education, special projects, exhibitions, press, awards and more along with descriptions of each to make the exciting. You can also upload a PDF resume or CV, as well.
4. Create a portfolio
Create a portfolio or your work from your Build my Portfolio page. A portfolio should be curated with your best work and visually cohesive. To ensure that a viewer has an enjoyable experience, portfolios from individual account can hold up to 15 works, while organixation accounts can include 100 works.
Give the portfolio a title and use the description section to tell the story of the works and choose a visual style. We currently have three styles to choose from but expect more soon.
5. Connect your resume and portfolios
The creative highlights on your resume can connect to your portfolios so that viewers wont just read about your important career milestones but can see them as well.
There is so much more you can do on Artrepreneur but this should get you started. If you have any questions, reeview out other FAQs or contact us at email@example.com
