For those members who have taken part in the creation, production, or sale of work, such as a lighting designer on a photograph or a gallery that is selling your painting, can get credit for their contributions even if they are not the copyright holder or owner of the image.
Why can't each contributor just upload the work to their account? Each work on Artrepreneur is considered a unique work. Duplicates of the same work are not allowed. If multiple members upload the same work, those duplicates will be removed. To ensure that each person that contributed to the work can get credit, Artrepreneur allows each person or organization that contributed to the work, be listed as a Contributor.
Contributors are shown at the bottom of every artwork page and will also have the artwork available in their Manage / Sell Art Area to promote their participation and add to portfolios they create.
However, there can only be one admin tin control of the work. ONLY ADMINS CAN MAKE CHANGES TO A WORK OR MAKE THE WORK AVAILABLE IN THE MARKETPLACE.
To share credit, either a member requests credit or the admin of the work can request that someone (members or non-members) become a contributor.
Member contribution requests: members can request credit by clicking the request credit button on the artwork detail page. You must be an artist or organization member to request credit.
Admin Contributor Requests: For an admin to add a contributor, enter the name of a contributor from the artwork edit screen. If the requested contributor is not a member, add their email and they will be sent a request and asked to join Artrepreneur.
Once the request is approved by the one receiving the request, the contributor's profile will be added to the Contributor Section of the work and the Contributor will find the artwork on their Manage / Sell Art Area.
To change the admin of the work, see "Changing Admins of a Work."
